I adapted 10 stories for the Story Museum’s new season of Stories from the Woodshed series. The stories were inspired by the idea of heroes in many forms, and drawn from traditional oral stories from different corners of the world.
The hope was to inspire children with these tales of heroes that displayed not only traditional feats of bravery and strength, but also ingenuity, resilience, honesty and integrity.
The tales include some familiar legends like Beowulf, Rama & Sita, and Oonagh & Finn McCool, and less familiar ones like Antar & Abla, Marwe, the Empty Pot, and more. You can check them all out on the Story Museum channel here. I really loved getting to know these stories and hope viewers will grow to love them too.
